JANUS Meeting

In 2009 and 2010 people interested in JANUS were meeting at the NURC to discuss ideas and make decisions on future JANUS development.
We think that it would be a good idea to have such a meeting again in 2012. Any ideas?

This sounds like a great idea!

The original 'steering' workshops were in 2008 and 2009. It's time we had a review and round-table discussion. There's much to talk about, lots of developments have happened since 2009 and there are lots of interesting ideas for the future.

I would be very happy to host a JANUS meeting in the Centre and provide a warm welcome to the JANUS family anytime that suits interested parties in 2012. We could arrange it for May/June, perhaps, or if it helping people leverage travel, in conjunction with the Genova conference on automated control of maritime vessels in mid-Sept. and the proposed US Communications Channel Modelling and Simulation conference proposed for the last week in Sept.

Ciao,
John.

The doodle poll has attracted 19 responses, but none in the last couple of weeks, so I've now closed it and identified the best dates for everybody to be:

15-16 October 2012

So, thanks to all who responded! Everyone interested in contributing to JANUS is welcome to come, but note that you'll need to provide me with your personal details in good time so I can get your access permit to NURC processed.

Let's look forward to an exciting workshop!

Ciao,
John.
